glitch art
data bending, data moshing, or glitch art is the technique of purposefully corrupting image files by
manipulating their contents to create aesthetically pleasing art. my process ranges from adjusting header
offsets, mismatching file formats, to raw data manipulation. some are scripted, others made by hand. likewise,
some images are raw while others are photos of corruptions. i mostly work in the JPG format, but also render
many animated GIFs of corruption collections. epilepsy warning!
